About us

Our qualified ski and snowboard instructors provide private lessons for adults and children, and we have the only kids ski school in Gudauri so your kids can learn and make friends in a safe, fun, group environment.

All of our instructors hold internationally recognised instructing qualifications and have been specially selected for their knowledge and passion. Our instructors know the best pistes to improve your technique and increase your confidence, and all the secret freeride spots! We have Georgian, English, French, German, Spanish, Chezh, Polish, Slovene, Serbian, Italian, Russian speaking instructors who have taught across the globe and now call Gudauri home. 

Our rental service provides the best quality equipment to suit all your needs. Equipment can be rented alone, or at a discounted rate as part of one of our equipment and lesson packages.

Our story

Ski Gudauri was founded in 2013 by Alex Beniaidze, a ski racer from Gudauri, and Giovanni Lazzarini, an Italian race coach. Alex and Giovanni represented the Georgian National Ski Team at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and in various World Cup and World Championship events. With their experience at the highest level of skiing they have brought together a passionate and enthusiastic instructor team that, through word of mouth, has become the biggest, and most popular ski school in Gudauri.

Leila Baltaji

Team Lead Instructor. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Leila is a ski passionate ready to take on the Georgian slopes for the second winter! Easily recognized for her unique sence of style and love for flashy colors on the snow, you'll find her standing out even more for her talented skills and techniques. Languages: Lebanese Arabic, English, French.

Beso Japaridze

Technical Team Lead instructor from Svaneti, Georgia 🇬🇪 Professional alpine skier and former member of the Georgian National Alpine Ski Team.

Stefan Dabic

Ski & Snowboard instructor, Paragliding pilot and Professor of Sport representing Serbia! Highly positive and friendly person, great coach for kids & adults. ISIA Level-3, M.A.S.I. Montenegrin Association of Snowsport Instructors. Spending his third season in Gudauri! Languages: Serbian, English, Czech, Slovakian.

Tika Sigua

Ski School & Rental shop Lead Manager. Ensures the perfect work of the Office team and creates long lasting winter sport memories for our guests! You can find her in our Gudauri Lodge shop.

Co-founder and “The Big Boss” of Ski Gudauri School. Former Georgian Olympic skier (Sochi 2014), Main coach of the Georgian National Ski Team, professional ski racer and just a local guy!

Co-founder of Ski Gudauri. Professional Ski coach at Italian National Ski Team. Former Head coach of the National Georgian Ski Team during the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014. Baking pizzas and riding bikes!

Ski Instructor from Georgia and a member of the Georgian National Ski Team. He enjoys teaching all abilities, from guests looking to make their first turns through to experienced skiers looking to reach new heights. Languages: English, Georgian.

KIDS SKI SCHOOL WITH SKI GUDAURI

We are the only ski school in Gudauri that offers group lessons for kids aged 5 years and older. Our small groups, never more than 6, are divided by age and ability so that your child can make friends and build confidence in a fun team environment. Your child’s technique will improve, and so will their love for the sport. Most importantly our qualified professional instructors have your child’s safety as their top priority.

Our rental service offers all the equipment necessary for a great time on the slope, including snow-wear, safety equipment, and skis, boards, and boots for all ages and ability levels. All of our equipment is checked and maintained after each use to ensure quality and safety. You can even get great discounts on rental equipment if you book it with a lesson.
